Mindful Self-Compassion:

Self-compassion is a skill that can be learned by anyone, even those who didn’t receive enough affection in childhood or who find it embarrassing to be kind to themselves. Self-compassion is actually a courageous mental attitude that stands up to harm—the harm that we inflict on ourselves every day by overworking, overeating, overanalyzing, and overreacting. Restorative Yoga, Private Yoga Instruction

Restorative Yoga is a slower, more gentle form of yoga that combines the breath, meditation, gentle stretching, and massage. This mind/body practice includes the holding of the body in postures to revitalize the deep connective tissue as the mind awakens to healing choices in perceptions, thought patterns, and emotions. Students are provided a variety of props to support the body as it releases into deeper postures, and the class is offered with a balance of compassionate guidance and quiet spaciousness to turn inward for self­exploration and insight.
